  • The Roadmap app is majorly for product roadmaps, project roadmaps, high-level project plans.
  • QuickPlan is majorly for the project schedule.

  Some users may use these apps more broadly out of the primary focus and find them more comfortable to use than other apps designed for other purposes. While we are trying to consider the user's different needs, our apps still retain their proper design focus.

• ACCURACY
  • Planning roadmap is at a very early stage of a product, or a project, tasks in a roadmap are rough to guide the future work.
  • The project schedule should be accurate and be details enough to guide the project execution.

  • Multiple tasks in a row, but a task can't overlay another task.
  • One task in one row.
• TASK CONTENT
  • At the roadmap stage, we may care about the phases, owners, and the rough estimate.
  • At the scheduling stage, we care about the date, resource, cost, and status.

Any roadmap file can be a template - A roadmap is a file. From the home screen, long press on a document tile and then tap the “Duplicate” menu to copy it to a new document.

We (Roadmap App Developer Team) do not have a server where user-created roadmap data is stored. Users own the roadmap documents they create. The Roadmap app stores the user’s roadmap plan on the user’s device and in iCloud Drive. The file path is selected by the user on the Roadmap app home screen.

QuickPlan supports synchronization of projects via iCloud Drive. Please check the details in the online user manual.

We (Roadmap App Developer) have no server to store the user-generated roadmap documents. A roadmap is stored in a file with a .rdmap file extension on the Mac. By default, the Roadmap app automatically copies the project file to the backup folder upon opening a project file. And there is an option to turn off auto backup in the app’s preferences. We suggest backup the document files to your cloud storage like Dropbox using third-party apps automatically or manually.

Press ⌘⌥^ (Command + Alt + Ctrl) to show shortcut tips in the active roadmap window.

Yes, if you want to use the app on the iOS devices. At the moment, when we start to develop the app, there is no way to bundle the apps from different operating systems.
